As you know, the second month of the year ‘February’ considered to beginning of the Spring season. So the first day of the spring season is called “Vasant Panchami”. On this day, many people bring a Saraswati Mata Murti at home and perform especially Pooja. On this day, everyone offered yellow flowers, yellow clothing, yellow sweets, saffron, Gulal, and white sandalwood, to Saraswati Mata Ji. Because it is believed that this day, Basant Panchami, marks the birthdate of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom, particular devotion to Mother Saraswati is performed on this day.
